We used to revel in the "new perfect" that was our life. Raising a beautiful girl with multiple special needs showed us that "perfect" is all in our minds. Emily's life was perfect. It was happy, it was brilliant. She was social, outgoing, silly, and ticklish. Now we are learning to get through life without our "Perfect Peanut" in it. This is most certainly NOT a new kind of perfect.

You've all seen her smile, now see her pout!
This girl was born with the best pout ever! When she was first born and in the nursery in the hospital, the nurses mentioned the pout. I walked down to get her and they said "Oh, she's the one with the pout!" I knew then that we were in trouble! Hehe These pictures are from last night when she was going to sleep. She had gotten her bedtime meds and was rocking with her nurse Angelina. We've had this nurse for over 2 years now - she is truly part of our family. Peanut was pouting because it was bedtime. She does it every night! She's so tired and cranky, but hates to sit and go to sleep.
This last picture was taken by Monkey. He found Cookie sitting on the couch like this and took a picture. It's hilarious!

Hahahaha! The Peanut pictures are so cute and so pathetic at the same time. She is so stinkin' cute! And, you must have the smartest dog ever to be able to do crossword puzzles! So funny!
Just found your blog through Elizabeth A... and read peanut's story... and got up to speed on your posts. my daughter also has uncontrolled seizures, though not as relentless and frequent as your daughters. They began at 4 months of age and continue til this day at 15...though we're so lucky that we have months go by with none (of which im aware...she has a lot of noctornal seizures, many of which i must miss). Anyway, love the blog (the little birdie ROCKS):)
