We went 16 days with no seizures. I say "went", because as of yesterday we are back to ground zero. She had one on the bus on the way home, and by the time she was dropped off she was knocked out. This morning she must have had one before we got into her room. By the time we went in, she was drooling, choking, and hot. I got her cleaned up and she was jittery, twitchy. She seemed okay so I sent her to school with a note.
Good thing I just got a call from UCLA epilepsy center with her referral. They are waiting for medical records from our current neurologist, and hopefully will call me back today to schedule an appointment. I only hope it isn't too far out!

Oh dangit! Sorry to hear the seizures are back, that sucks! I'll be praying that you get an appt at the epilepsy center very soon!
I hate hearing this because it takes me back a year, when every med we tried worked for a few days, and the seizures found their way back. Now everyone thinks he's good to go but his brain still constantly seizures. I hate that people don't understand that its slowly killing the brain. I hope UCLA can get you in soon! Is this were Dr. Shields is? Thats who I was told to go see.
I'm so sorry that the seizure monster is back. I will pray that you can get Peanut evaluated very soon and get her on the right meds.

This makes me feel sad, reading it, because I have gotten to feeling so hopeful now that we have had 3 (4?) no-seizure days. So I am letting my guard down too quickly, is what my take-home message is?
