Crappy seizure day today. First day of school tomorrow.

The kids go back to school tomorrow. As PTO President, I wish it was still summer! I have already put in many hours getting ready for the school year, including the kindergarten orientation this morning. Now I just need to finish getting their backpacks ready and go to bed early. Hopefully I will get some cute pictures in the morning. :)

Emily has had a rough few mornings in a row, but this morning was the worst. It was the first time in a while that we saw physical seizures. She was so twitchy and shaky, and gagging and crying. She was sitting in her crib and her arms started jerking and she fell over. I sat her up and held her, but she was out of it for a few seconds. When it was over she cried and cried. :( This went on ALL morning. It was a long morning! When I finally decided to cave and give her Diastat, it stopped.

I hope she doesn't do it tomorrow morning. The first day of school! Please pray for a good morning. :)

Ah, I remember those days. Luckily we finally found the medication and dosage that helps Sammy stay relatively seizure free (with an occasional one here and there) but I hate them so much! I hate seizures. Poor sweet Emily. It doesn't seem fair does it? Here's praying she'll have a great first day of school...and YOU, by the way, AMAZE me! PTO president? Way to be awesome.

I'm praying for your morning to be seizure free!!

I'm so sorry Emily has had some rough mornings. How frustrating that things were seeming to be going well and now right when school is about to start things seem to be getting out of hand.

Thinking of you all!

I was going to ask you if you have diastat at home! I used to have to use it almost once a week. But it does work wonders!

Ugh!

First, I am so sorry it was such a crappy day with yucky seizures. Heartbreaking. I hope it was a good first day of school today with no seizures.

Second, I am sorry for dropping off the radar again. I have been keeping up with you, just not commenting. Forgive me? :-)
