We just had our meeting with Make A Wish!

We decided finally what to wish for, for Emily. We were thinking of a trip, a vacation, a cruise. In the end, we decided that although she would like any of those things, her house and her bedroom are her favorite places of all.

She was denied a Sleep Safe Bed through her insurance, so we are asking for that. They are going to propose that we get a new bed, an EmFit epilepsy monitor for the bed, a mounted TV with DVD player, and all new storage. Her room is so full of medical equipment and supplies that it is a disaster and has rubbermaid containers everywhere. So the plan is for them to completely redo her room.

She will LOVE it. She loves snuggling in her bed and watching DVD's. Without her down time every day she is extremely grumpy.

They are going to see if they can throw in an Ipad as an extra! :)

First of all, you were denied a sleep safe? What the h#@l!
That will be a fantastic wish! I bet it will make her room much more accessible. I was just thinking that we will never have room for a sleep safe in Jax room. Way too much rubbermaid and equipment too!

I am so glad that you are getting your wish. I love her sleep safe bed. It saves my back as far as bending over. Also we can tilt the head up and the knee up so she cacoons right in the lil valley. I have been thinking of a handicap accessible bathroom and also an aquarium. Her fav thing at the hospital is to llook at the fish. They are big enough for her to see and move just at the right slow pace for her to follow. Please take pictures when it gets done. Thank you for updating us.

Wow. This all sounds so wonderful. I can't imagine a more deserving girl for all those things. I'm interested in hearing about the EmFit monitor. We have been sleeping with Sophie for YEARS --
