We used to revel in the "new perfect" that was our life. Raising a beautiful girl with multiple special needs showed us that "perfect" is all in our minds. Emily's life was perfect. It was happy, it was brilliant. She was social, outgoing, silly, and ticklish. Now we are learning to get through life without our "Perfect Peanut" in it. This is most certainly NOT a new kind of perfect.

Getting Fingerprinted
All IHSS caregivers in our state (is it nationwide? I don't know) now have to be fingerprinted. Nevermind that I've been Peanut's IHSS paid caregiver for almost two years now, oh and I'm her MOM! LOL Did I mention that I get to pay $52 for the privilage of getting fingerprinted? Woohoo! :)

I understand the fingerprinting, but as her MOM, you still have to have it done???? Crazy!

Junior gets IHSS to and I had my fingerprints done in February. Had to get a background check as well.
Yes, it is statewide. Part of the new budget cuts because so many people apparently abuse the system So yes I also have top be fingerprinted and background checked to care for my 2yo. Niice.
Yep, we have to get printed to care for our own kiddo. I think it will be nice to put Josie's finger print on the time sheet every month. : )
