For anyone who doesn't follow us on Facebook, Emily is back in the hospital. She has either an ileus or a partial obstruction. Her pain is out of control and she is really, really sick. She finally got a pain pump of Nubain, on top of all the other lines/meds getting pumped into her. She is knocked out. I am going to try and sleep, although I am so heartbroken and sick to my stomach I don't know if I can. Please pray the the intestines either wake up or unblock soon, so she doesn't need surgery ... Or worse.
I am really scared. I don't think she has ever been this bad. :(
We used to revel in the "new perfect" that was our life. Raising a beautiful girl with multiple special needs showed us that "perfect" is all in our minds. Emily's life was perfect. It was happy, it was brilliant. She was social, outgoing, silly, and ticklish. Now we are learning to get through life without our "Perfect Peanut" in it. This is most certainly NOT a new kind of perfect.

I'm so glad you posted...I had no idea things had gotten this bad! I read blogs way more than I do facebook! I will certainly keep Emily (and you) in my prayers!

Sara this just makes me sick! What makes me more sick is Im not diwn there and its taking me so damn long. I may come down in a couple weeks, to get away from the selling of this house. Hopefully shes home and better by then.
