We used to revel in the "new perfect" that was our life. Raising a beautiful girl with multiple special needs showed us that "perfect" is all in our minds. Emily's life was perfect. It was happy, it was brilliant. She was social, outgoing, silly, and ticklish. Now we are learning to get through life without our "Perfect Peanut" in it. This is most certainly NOT a new kind of perfect.

Good News!
The surgeon looked at Peanut's g-tube today and said we are NOT moving it! There is a full fingers width between her tube and the bottom of her ribs. He said that if it gets wedged under her ribs while she's sitting, it can't do any harm where it is. If it moves closer to her ribs so that it is literally right underneath them, we will have to move it.
So we are going down a size (from 18 fr 1.7 to 18 fr 1.5) to see if that helps the leaking. If not he says we should do a g-tube study. Basically an Upper GI, with the barium going in the tube and not her mouth. So we're changing out her button this evening, we'll see if it stops the leaking.
Thank GOODNESS for no surgery!!

yeah!!! Love to hear good news!
That is good news. I hope it all works out! Its a nice surprise when you think they will be having a surgery for so long and then find out they don't need it.
Peanut is still as cute as ever!
No surgery is always GOOD news. :) I'm hoping the new size will help!!!
Yea for no surgery. Annabel's button is leaking. It is the mini-one with the valve on the top. 2nd one to spring a leak. Hopefully they can change it out when she has her dialation at the end of May. I will let you know about hair product when she tell me.
YAY!!! Praying the new button size does the trick! Hugs!!!
Excellent news! Hope the button change sorts it out.
