Hi there,

Thank you so much for your post on our blog (a few weeks ago, now!). I just read through your entire blog... I am already completely smitten with Miss Peanut (and even "ghoulish" Monkey, too!). It's interesting... On top of her CHARGE diagnosis, my daughter was also just diagnosed with Diplegic CP. In reading your posts, I am struck by how very similar our girls are... GI stuff... gagging, retching, general discomfort from feeds, sometimes just UP at night, AND in spite of all of this also VERY happy, playful and sweet!

Your post about the developmental strides that Peanut has made and your choice to have her reassessed really struck a cord with me, too. It IS about how happy and well-adjusted they are... not about all of those boxes that get checked on those assessments... but that's not to say it doesn't sting a little when you've seen such growth and change and the assessment doesn't reflect it. She looks fabulous to me... and no worse for the wear regarding those results, right?!

We have settled on an area and will be in Orange County. I would really love to communicate with you further about doctors, CHOC and the programs that are in the area. Not sure where you are - - we will be in the Los Alamitos school district...

Oh... and Happy Belated Birthday, Peanut! You and Gracie are exactly 6 months apart... she turned 5 on April 16!!!

Look foward to learning more about you and from you!
