We used to revel in the "new perfect" that was our life. Raising a beautiful girl with multiple special needs showed us that "perfect" is all in our minds. Emily's life was perfect. It was happy, it was brilliant. She was social, outgoing, silly, and ticklish. Now we are learning to get through life without our "Perfect Peanut" in it. This is most certainly NOT a new kind of perfect.
What a special girl! I'm so sad for her family! I can't imagine going through what they have! Emma fought hard and is basking in the glory of victory now! Her family must be so proud of her!
Thank you for posting this... I found their blog through yours early last year and had been a frequent "lurker."
For some reason, I hadn't checked back since the middle of January and was stunned to see Emma's picture on your blog tonight. I just spent the last thirty minutes sobbing through over two weeks of posts.
They are an amazing family and Miss Emma (and her incredible parents) had a profound effect on me.

Who is this sweet girl and what did she have? Praying for her family right now.

Lots of Love and Big Hugs!!!
Makes my heart sad. It's especially hard to read as we are sitting in a PICU. Sending prayers out to their family.
