So I realized this morning that my Peanut hadn't had a seizure in a while. And I stupidly posted it on Facebook. Which of course means that she had a big seizure this evening. :( She had been grumpy all day, and had been whining and crying and flailing around for almost two hours. Her nurse couldn't calm her, I couldn't calm her. She was just distraught, but I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I ended up just sitting on the couch and holding her on my lap while she cried and fought me. Then she had a seizure. It was less than 30 seconds but it was INTENSE. Then she was sedate and sluggish, and we got her off to bed. I am guessing that the fussing before hand was the onset of the seizure. I hope that she wasn't seizing during that time. If she was, we sure couldn't tell.
I hate seizures. I even sent an email to the neuro this morning telling him how long it's been since she's had a seizure. Stoopid seizures!

so sorry to hear about the seizure, we just hate them around here.
Junior can be really agitated for up to 24 hours before having a big one.
Have a very merry and seizure free Christmas
I am so very sorry. I am in tears reading this. I have followed another blog about a little one who is also having violent seizures tonight after a long time without them. Very similar. My heart is breaking for these little ones who are in so much pain. So incomprehensible!
Tonight, I am on my knees in prayer for your Peanut and all the other precious ones in the world who are suffering. I pray also for your peace and comfort in this difficult time.
God bless you and give you and your Peanut strength to weather this storm.
P.S. I would love to be your friend on FB. My full name is Alicia Cortez. If you don't feel comfortable, don't feel bad. I understand.
I'm so sorry! Seizures SUCK!!! I pray that Peanut doesn't have anymore! Poor girl! Love and Hugs!!!
I'm so sorry - not fun.
If it helps though; the grumpiness and other bits could well be more of an aura (build-up) rather than seizure itself, so she probably wasn't seizing all the time. Just feeling horrible as the seizure gathered. A friend used to describe it as a thunderstorm - horrible heavy atmosphere as the storm clouds gathered, then the seizure itself like the thunderstorm, but after that everything was cleared away for a bit (just leaving the post-ictal sleepiness and stuff).
I hope it was a blip and she now has another long seizure free period.
Tia
